How to define your Employer Value Proposition

I’ve had a lot of conversations lately with companies grappling with the same issue: defining their Employer Value Proposition (EVP).

It’s not easy to figure out what really matters to your employees and what makes you stand out in a crowded market.

To craft an EVP that truly resonates, you’ve got to dig deep and answer three key questions:

1️⃣ Why do the best people work for you? - It’s not just about a paycheck.
-> It’s about the culture you foster,
-> the growth opportunities you provide,
-> and the values that resonate with high performers.

2️⃣ What makes you different? - Your unique "selling point" is what sets you apart
-> whether it’s involvement in cutting-edge projects.
-> innovative practices,
-> or inclusive culture.

3️⃣ What is important to your candidates? - Aligning with what candidates value most is crucial in attracting top talent.
-> whether that’s work-life balance,
-> career development, or
-> making a social impact.

Where these three elements overlap is where your true EVP lies.

Ready to define what makes your company the best place to work? Start by answering these questions, and let your EVP do the talking.

P.S. Don't try to answer these questions on your own. You will need to involve your employees and management.
